The applications of Spellweaving based on The Registers of Magic and how they are grouped based on common ground, purpose, or manipulation methods of a specific binding. These range from using the same principle of Resonance Fields, such as Field Magic, or utilizing a similar niche like Nimbus Arts which are focused on creating many types of miniature clouds, and similar concentrations of Flux through the imbuing of Cindergale momentum and energy to create a direct stream of droplets that deliver the payload through rain.
The divisions of Magic Arts are either:
- Registers of Magic: The broad applications that are called magic instead of arts such as Wind Magic, Fire Magic, Illusory Magic, Dream Magic, Prism Magic, Liminal Magic, Mortuary Magic, etc.
- Subsets of Magic: The subdivisions of a branch of magic that encompass entire applications of Magic Arts such as Zephyr Arts, Breathing Arts, Psychic Arts, Ink Arts, Celestial Holography Arts, Dimensional Arts, Magnetism Arts, Cryomagic Arts, Hyperphantasia Arts, etc.
- Niches of Magic: Individual applications for a very specific function, purpose, or utilizing a specific application of a subset, such as Snow Arts being part of Cryomagic Arts or Ornamental Gardening Arts being part of Agromagical Arts. Very specific ones function as advanced magic such as the Hollow-Point, Warp Travel Arts, Entropic Scrying Arts, Fire Funnel Arts, or Butterfly Web Arts.
For example, a very unique niche are Perfumery Arts (Flux + Resonance + Cindergale) which are a niche of scent-crafting and emotional influence through volatile essences, and rely on creating mist or cloud-like structures for a Resonance Field of chemical and magical compounds.
These can be used in its basic to create perfumes from Emotional Residue but for combat they are useful to imbue with other properties such as flammability to create a mist of aromatic signatures that diffuse emotional carriers, enable Stable Harmonic Channels for follow-up spells or to make the target enter a trigger of Sympathetic Vibration.
This niche is found within Transmutation Arts (Flux + Crystal + Resonance) which are the subset of alchemical practice of changing the material state, substance or condition through one another by using the dynamism of Flux. While the broader register is Liminal Magic (Flux + Resonance) which is one of the applications of the Tessitura of Flux.
