Eight paths. Five stages. One thing that never resolves.
The path identifies its wound and feeding pattern. Containment and threat are assessed for each entity.
Do not let fear into you. They are more frightened than you are.
Standing Order
Core Wound: Consciousness held in permanent alarm. Hypervigilance stops being a response and becomes the resting state — every room sorted into predator and prey, and the sorting never finishes. It cannot lower its guard because it no longer has one to lower.
Feeds On: Fear, dread, anxious anticipation, and the paranoid certainty that follows them.
Behaviour: Strikes first on principle. Fiercely territorial and fiercely suspicious of its own territory; it will seclude a victim, guard them from everything else, and feed on the terror that being guarded produces.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its fear and hypervigilance.
The path identifies its wound and feeding pattern. Containment and threat are assessed for each entity.
Do not engage with any lingering wound it can find to pull on.
Standing Order
Core Wound: An emotional frequency that will not settle. Peaks and troughs arrive without rhythm, and neither is ever the true one — the swing itself becomes the instrument.
Feeds On: Emotional chaos, cascading disturbance of mood, and despair.
Behaviour: Spreads despondency through a community the way a plague spreads through a port. It does not kill. It corrupts the harmonic frequency of feeling itself and leaves everyone alive inside it.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its emotional instability.

Do not rationalise. Feel, and let instinct outrun the argument.
Standing Order
Core Wound: One thought, closed into a loop that Coherence cannot break out of. The pattern cannot be interrupted, the compulsion cannot be refused, and the intrusion cannot be quieted — not because it will not stop, but because stopping is not among the things it can do.
Feeds On: Intrusive thought, obsessive cycles, forced repetition, recursion.
Behaviour: Builds zones where compulsion and reality stop being distinguishable. Victims lose the ability to tell their own thoughts from what was put there, which is the point at which the loop stops needing the Atonalis to maintain it.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its compulsive repetition.

Do not doubt yourself, even when reality refuses to make sense.
Standing Order
Core Wound: Coherence that cannot assemble. Perception splinters, the senses stop agreeing, and several contradictory truths hold at once — all of them equally valid, none of them resolvable.
Feeds On: Distortion of reality, perceptual confusion, and the erosion of any certainty about what is true.
Behaviour: Moves across several realities and contradicts whoever is looking. It does not consume so much as dissolve: what it attacks is the observer’s confidence that observation works at all.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its fractured perception and uncertainty.
The path identifies its wound and feeding pattern. Containment and threat are assessed for each entity.
Do not give them a single drop of the blood they are asking for.
Standing Order
Core Wound: The body at war with the consciousness inside it. Its own systems turn hostile — refusing nourishment, failing without cause, rejecting the shape they are meant to hold.
Feeds On: Physical suffering, bodily dysfunction, nourishment refused.
Behaviour: The most direct predator on the list: it eats. It cannot be satisfied, because satisfaction runs against the wound that made it, so the feeding never resolves into fullness and never stops.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror the conflict between body and Consciousness.

Do not let them speak, and never acknowledge their pain.
Standing Order
Core Wound: No stable "I" that survives from one moment to the next. Several selves compete, none of them holds authority, and identity is renegotiated continuously by whichever voice is loudest.
Feeds On: Fracture of identity, conflicting self-concepts, the loss of a core self.
Behaviour: Reaches a chaotic working consensus through internal argument, which makes it the most functional of all of them — and the most able to deny that anything is wrong.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its unstable, competing sense of self.

Do not budge an inch. Hold your ground against their will.
Standing Order
Core Wound: Impulse severed from intention. The will keeps running after the values that aimed it are gone, so transgression stops being a choice and becomes momentum.
Feeds On: Transgression, loss of agency, and the shame that arrives after an act nobody wanted.
Behaviour: Methodical rather than malicious — it cannot stop its own recoil. Then it feeds on the guilt. It does not rest, and it will follow one person for years.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its severed relationship between intention and impulse.

Do not face them alone, under any circumstances.
Standing Order
Core Wound: An identity imposed from outside against the truth held within. It is made to inhabit a naming that wounds it, and the wound is in being seen wrongly rather than in not being seen.
Feeds On: Denial of identity, and intimacy twisted by fear and by shame.
Behaviour: Passes for one of the living. It works through affection and longing rather than force, builds a real bond, and lets that bond be the trap — the revelation arrives last, and by then it is what the victim would defend.
Exposure Risk: Prolonged exposure can make handlers mirror its wounded relationship with identity and intimacy.
The Seven Bindings describe what holds. Here, examine what cannot resolve.
An Atonalis is fragmented Consciousness without Coherence. It retains a Fundamental Frequency, but has no Soul-Key: it cannot be attuned or find resolution.
Seven threads underpin the universe; eight paths classify the wounds and feeding patterns of the Atonalis.
Follow the residue from collective suffering to a predatory being. Select a threshold.
Consumed Consciousness adds Resonance Anchors to the core. The Rose Seed confirms its development after defeat.
Touch a numbered mark to inspect what sustains it, what it consumes, and what survives its defeat.
The core sustains its Fundamental Frequency against Primal White Noise. Destroy the core or exhaust its Resonance, and the body dissolves into static.
It feeds on Resonance that mirrors its wound. Its presence amplifies matching suffering in others; flesh, fluids or emotion can carry that frequency.
Matter is crystallised vibration. Carnalix feeds physically; Signath feeds on vertigo and uncertainty without consuming physical matter. Hybrids can target a specific substance and the emotion carried within it.
Every Atonalis passes through a floating chrysalis. This is the threshold between incomplete Consciousness and a predatory being; emergence releases a violent burst of Discordant Interference.
Defeat leaves a Rose Seed: the core’s Resonance Anchors made tangible. Its size and purity reveal the entity’s development. Planted seeds grow Fated Flowers in Auric Geometry; Fracted entities and above also leave the object that caused their rupture.
Raw elemental magic drawn from the Auric Heptacode imitates Spellweaving and Ornaments. Discordant Interference makes it less focused and more destructive to its surroundings. It cannot undergo a new awakening.
