"The iridescent basin where the colors of the sky meet the fractals of the earth."
One of the key societies in Arcanoria, the fourth and final classical Civilization of the Waltz Pillar founded by Amadea and the Mythical Virtuoso in the northeast of the Crescent Mist Peaks near the Violet Grove of the central continent of Arcanoria.
It stands in stark contrast to Hollowmarch given its tenets on the element of Essence Sacrifice and the meaning of life through Ballads and Civic Plays. It is known as the "Empire of Obsidian Feathers" due to the gothic aesthetic that it inherited from Amadea.
Iridia is the last of the classical Civilizations to be founded during Ages II, and becomes the beacon of hope during Ages III, and it's the major player during the Ages of the Medieval Period. Similar to Hollowmarch, it exists until the modern era in Ages XI but it transitions several times, the worst crisis was the Holy War during the crusades against Hollowmarch and other Aureus Pillar aligned societies, and the fall of the Dissonance League being overrun by Atonalis. This is precisely why, after Amadea, Miss Nyctilia becomes one of the most significant figures of Iridia due to the CRX Institutes.
Ages Timeline from II to XI:

Additional Facts
Iridia comes from iridescent, where the sand reflects glossy.
Amadea names it Iridia because she refuses to accept that heaven is a place you only reach after you lose everything. Iridia is the defiant, reverent promise that if the sky is too far away to protect the children of the wasteland, she will pull the colors of the sky down into the dirt and build the heavens herself.
Iridium is the metal of Iridia
